Projects - Inventions - Research - Business
For years I had a once-per-year project: A Halloween costume. I never really thought impersonating some super individual was that useful, so instead I impersonated spacecraft. One of my first costumes, the Hubble Telescope, set the groundwork for a bunch of other future costumes. These things tended to yield quite a bit of candy, so for a few years I organized a candy drive with a few of my friends for the Roadrunner Food Bank in Albuquerque.
Using another concrete tube, this costume featured an automated candy hatch above my head. This gradually raised my center of gravity, but effectively held over 3 gallons of candy!
One other note, the budget on these projects was quite small, so if you look close there are some very cheap bits. For instance, these switches are made using brads, paperclips, and card stock.
